Golf Trip Index
Rated on courses, lodging, food, cost, and vibe.
Bretton Woods in New Hampshire -- home of the Mount Washington Hotel, one of the Northeast's most atmospheric historic resorts -- has multiple courses in the White Mountains, anchored by the Donald Ross design on the property. The resort's visual setting is among the strongest in New England, and the golf holds up well enough that the trip doesn't feel like a resort backdrop with token courses. Best for groups who want history and scenery alongside the golf.
